Carbon Steel Pan Use & Heat Exposure

Carbon steel pans are designed for durability and excellent heat conductivity; however, they are susceptible to warping if exposed to sudden temperature changes or excessively high heat. To maintain the integrity of your pan:

  • Avoid overheating when the pan is empty.

  • Do not place a hot pan under cold water or on a cold surface.

  • Use low heat for preheating and low/medium for cooking.

  • Allow the pan to cool gradually before cleaning.

Warping caused by improper use, including thermal shock or excessive/uneven heat exposure, is not considered a manufacturing defect and isn’t covered under warranty - but with proper care, your carbon steel pan will serve you beautifully for years to come.
