FAQs

What are your pans made from?

Our pans are made from food-grade quality carbon steel, also known as mild steel or cold rolled steel, sourced locally.

Where are your pans made?

All of our products are made right here in Ballarat, Victoria.

How do I look after my pan?

To put it simply, wash in hot water, warm over low heat, and wipe over with oil.  We have seasoning and cleaning videos that show you how to season and clean your pan.

Can I use my pan on an induction cooktop?

Yes, our steel pans are perfect to use on an induction cooktop.  Copper pans will need to be used in conjunction with a convertor disc.

Can I put my pan in the dishwasher?

No! The harsh detergents used in a dishwasher will damage the seasoning of your pan.

My pan has gone rusty, what do I do?

If properly seasoned your pan will not rust.  However, if rust does appear it can easily be removed with steel wool, then wash, warm, and oil your pan again.  If your pan is not going to be used for a period of time, make sure you oil it before you put it away.

Can I use my pan on an open fire?

Yes you absolutely can.  Our pans are great for taking camping and will be perfect to use over an open fire or campfire.  Just remember, if you leave your pan with your camping gear, to make sure it is properly oiled and not likely to get damp.
